Pfizer has ended its 15-year streak of annual dividend increases. The company maintained its quarterly payout at $0.43 per share in January 2026. This decision marks the first time the dividend remained flat since 2010.
Management cited falling revenue from the Comirnaty vaccine and Paxlovid antiviral treatment as the primary cause. CEO Albert Bourla confirmed the company can sustain the current annual payout of $1.72 per share.
Dividend growth is not expected to resume until after 2028. The company is currently navigating a period of patent expirations on several major drugs.
