Petrobras acquired 21 offshore blocks in Brazil’s latest Permanent Offer cycles, held by the National Agency of Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels (ANP). The acquisitions include key blocks in the Campos and Santos basins, reinforcing the company’s focus on ultra-deepwater assets. Signing bonuses total approximately R$3.22 billion.
The acquisitions add more than 18,000 km² to Petrobras’s exploration acreage, supporting reserve growth and long-term operational sustainability. Petrobras secured 100% stakes in the Azurita block in the Campos Basin and the Cruzeiro do Sul block in the Santos Basin.
In the Ceará Basin, Petrobras will operate with a 70% stake in partnership with QatarEnergy. The signing bonuses are scheduled to be paid by December 2026.
