Porsche Automobil Holding SE is demanding that Volkswagen accelerate cost-saving and restructuring measures. Chairman Hans Dieter Pötsch warned that delays are damaging the group's global competitiveness.
The holding company reported a €2.2 billion net loss for the first half of 2026. This result reverses a €300 million profit recorded during the same period last year.
The loss stems from a €3 billion impairment on Volkswagen shares. Porsche SE also recorded a €200 million write-down on its Porsche AG investment.
The CFO reiterated support for Volkswagen's strategy but emphasized the need for all possible solutions to maintain international standing.
