Porsche Automobil Holding SE, through its subsidiary Porsche AG, announced a strategy focused on higher profitability through more exclusive cars and streamlined operations. The company plans to raise the average selling price of its top models by approximately 20% by 2030. It will also reduce the number of model variants.
Cost-cutting measures include previously announced plans to eliminate around 9,000 positions. The company aims to lower its break-even point to fewer than 200,000 vehicles sold annually.
The realignment responds to a sales downturn in China and the impact of U.S. tariffs. Porsche aims to restore operating margins to 10% to 15% in the medium term.
