Oracle has committed to subscribe to a portion of the electricity generated by Wisconsin’s Point Beach Nuclear Plant. The arrangement is expected to save more than one million Wisconsin utility customers about $300 million in rising fuel and energy costs. Oracle will absorb the costs to help shield residents from higher electricity bills.

The commitment is tied to Oracle’s broader investment in Wisconsin through Project Lighthouse, a data center development in Port Washington. The project is projected to bring more than $11 billion to the local economy and create thousands of jobs. Oracle has said it will fully fund the data center’s energy costs to protect ratepayers. The commitment is subject to approval by the Public Service Commission of Wisconsin.
