Novo Nordisk released initial positive results from its STEP Young Phase 3 clinical trial. The study evaluated once-weekly semaglutide combined with lifestyle modifications for children aged 6 to under 12.

Trial data showed that 40.4% of treated children achieved a BMI below the obesity threshold. This outcome addresses a pediatric population with limited approved treatment options when lifestyle changes fail.

Novo Nordisk also continued its ongoing share repurchase program for B shares. The company expects to present full trial results at ObesityWeek 2026 in November.
