Novo Nordisk presented new data on its investigational weight-management drug CagriSema at the European Association for the Study of Diabetes (EASD) Annual Meeting 2026.
In a 52-week study, CagriSema significantly affected brain activity related to food cravings and reward. These changes were associated with substantial weight loss among people who were overweight or obese.
Separate real-world data showed that people who switched from weight-loss injections to oral Wegovy lost an average of 4.1% of their body weight after three months.
Novo Nordisk said the announcements reinforce its position in metabolic disease as it continues to expand its obesity and diabetes treatment pipeline.
