Novo Nordisk is considering a direct listing on the New York Stock Exchange to replace its American Depositary Receipts (ADRs). The company's CEO told the Financial Times the move would boost its profile in the United States.

The U.S. market currently generates more than half of the Danish drugmaker's total revenue. A direct listing aims to improve trading liquidity and stock accessibility for American investors.

Surging demand for weight-loss drugs recently established Novo Nordisk as Europe’s most valuable firm. The company stated it is not actively exploring the transition at this time.
