Novo Nordisk has partnered with AI firm Anthropic to accelerate the discovery and development of new medicines. The collaboration utilizes Anthropic’s Claude AI model to assist scientists in research, development, and software engineering.
This strategic move supports Novo Nordisk’s goal of becoming a leading AI-driven healthcare company. The partnership aims to improve the understanding of human biology and drug mechanics to increase R&D productivity.
Integrating AI is intended to shorten the timeline from initial research to marketable products for chronic diseases.
Separately, Novo Nordisk will present new real-world and clinical data on its cardiometabolic pipeline at the European Association for the Study of Diabetes (EASD) meeting in late September. This presentation will include data on the Wegovy pill.
