Metlen Energy & Metals PLC has agreed to sell its Tamarico II hybrid project to Copec Flux S.p.A., a subsidiary of Copec S.A. The project is located in Chile's Atacama Region.

The facility features a 165 MW photovoltaic power station. It includes a 725 MWh battery energy storage system (BESS). This storage capacity can be expanded to a maximum of 925 MWh.

The sale follows Metlen’s Asset Rotation model of developing and monetizing renewable projects. This transaction strengthens the partnership between Metlen and Copec Group. Both companies plan to explore further renewable energy and storage investments in Chile.
