ChatGPT Reaches 1.2B Weekly Users, Search Volume Reportedly 20% of Google's

OpenAI consumer product lead Adam Fry said ChatGPT has reached 1.2 billion weekly active users. The service added 200 million users in the last two months alone. Fry made the announcement at an event in New York City, according to Big Technology.

Fry said ChatGPT’s search volume is now about 20% of Google’s. He noted that the growth came despite ChatGPT’s relatively recent move to incorporate up-to-date information.
