Microsoft committed $60 million to the Department of Energy’s (DOE) Genesis Mission to accelerate AI-driven scientific discovery. The tech giant is establishing SPARK (Scientific Partnership Advancing Research & Knowledge) as a new coordination hub to facilitate breakthroughs.

The Genesis Mission unifies the DOE’s 17 National Laboratories into a single platform. This integration combines extensive scientific data with advanced computing facilities.

Microsoft will provide access to its Discovery app and quantum computing advancements to solve complex scientific challenges. This initiative aims to create a cycle where AI accelerates quantum research to expand the potential for discovery.
