Li Auto has not exceeded 40,000 monthly deliveries since the end of 2024. September deliveries fell to 31,800 units, down both year over year and month over month. The decline was partly linked to the L6 model update.
Rumors suggest Li Auto plans to introduce fully electric versions of its popular L series, which has traditionally used extended-range technology. Reports say the company’s Changzhou plant will undergo production-line renovations at the end of October to prepare for the new models.
The potential shift could help Li Auto capture more of the growing pure-electric vehicle market. Sales of its extended-range models have been contracting, while the all-electric i6 now accounts for more than half of the company’s total sales.
