Li Auto has launched its proprietary Lianshan electric vehicle technology system, which includes batteries and electric drive units developed in-house, as well as its charging network. The company will shift from batteries supplied by CATL to its own batteries, produced by a joint venture with Sunwoda.
The move aims to give Li Auto greater control over core technology and its supply chain. To address potential consumer concerns, the company introduced two lifetime safety pledges: compensation for a new vehicle if a fire results from battery quality issues or occurs following a collision.
