Kimberly-Clark is reportedly preparing to offer concessions, including potential asset sales, to address European Union antitrust concerns regarding its proposed $40 billion acquisition of Kenvue. The move comes as the European Commission is expected to formally notify Kimberly-Clark of its concerns this week.

The company faces a preliminary deadline of September 29 from the EU regulator to decide whether to approve the deal or launch a more in-depth, four-month investigation. Offering remedies now could help Kimberly-Clark avoid a prolonged probe.

This development follows regulatory actions in other regions. Australia approved the acquisition on the condition that Kimberly-Clark divest Kenvue's Carefree and Stayfree brands in the country, while South Africa also granted conditional approval last month.
