Klarna completed a $518 million Significant Risk Transfer (SRT) securitization to enhance capital efficiency. The three-year agreement supports the company’s strategy for capital-light expansion.

This transaction frees up capital to support $12 billion in additional consumer lending. It marks the second such deal Klarna has conducted with the same unnamed investor.

CFO Niclas Neglén described the agreement as a vote of confidence in the company’s underwriting quality. The deal underscores strong institutional interest in Klarna’s loan portfolio.
