Samsung has committed $1 billion to Helix Digital Infrastructure, an AI infrastructure company formed by global investment firm KKR. Six Samsung affiliates made the investment. It is intended to expand Samsung’s role in the AI ecosystem beyond semiconductors, including in data centers, power and cooling solutions.

Helix launched in June 2026 and secured more than $10 billion from its founding investors. The KKR-led consortium includes Nvidia, Vistra and the Kuwait Investment Authority as anchor investors.

Led by former AWS CEO Adam Selipsky, Helix aims to provide hyperscalers with an integrated solution spanning data centers, power generation and connectivity to meet growing AI demand.
