Infineon Technologies AG inaugurated a new backend manufacturing facility in Bangkok, Thailand, expanding and diversifying its global production network. The site adds capacity to meet long-term semiconductor demand driven by digitalization and electrification. Designed for scalable growth, it could eventually become one of Infineon’s largest backend sites.
At the AI & Technology Virtual Investor Conference, Infineon reported that AI-related revenue more than doubled to approximately $1.6 billion in the fiscal year. The company highlighted its market position in power semiconductors and microcontrollers, along with a strong order backlog. It said new capacity in Bangkok and Dresden will support growth in high-demand areas such as AI data centers and automotive.
