Infineon Technologies AG has completed its acquisition of C2i Semiconductors, a Bengaluru-based company specializing in software-defined power controllers for AI data centers. The deal aims to strengthen Infineon’s position in power solutions for high-performance computing and AI, where power requirements are increasingly demanding and dynamic.
The acquisition combines C2i’s digital power management expertise with Infineon’s portfolio of power semiconductors. Infineon expects the combination to speed development of more intelligent and efficient power delivery systems. The C2i team will join Infineon’s Power Systems division, expanding the company’s research and development footprint in India. Financial terms were not disclosed.
