GSK announced positive Phase III trial results from China for its investigational antibody-drug conjugate, Ris-Rez. The drug reduced the risk of death by 54% compared to the standard chemotherapy topotecan in patients with relapsed small cell lung cancer.
Patients receiving Ris-Rez achieved a median survival of 18.5 months. Those treated with topotecan lived a median of 10.3 months.
GSK presented these findings at the 2026 World Conference on Lung Cancer in Seoul, South Korea. The company aims to develop the drug across more than 40 indications by 2040.
Further Phase III trials are planned for other types of lung and prostate cancers. The success of Ris-Rez marks a significant expansion of GSK’s oncology portfolio.
