Goldman Sachs Group, Inc. signed a definitive agreement to acquire NEOS Investments for up to $2.25 billion. NEOS specializes in providing options-based income exchange-traded funds (ETFs).
The acquisition adds approximately $30 billion in assets under management to Goldman Sachs Asset Management. This transaction positions the firm as a top eight active ETF provider. The combined entity will manage approximately $80 billion in active ETFs.
The move addresses rising investor demand for active and derivative-based ETF products. Goldman Sachs expects to finalize the transaction in the first quarter of 2027.
