Google is testing Call for Me, an experimental feature allowing Gemini AI to call businesses on behalf of users. The assistant performs tasks such as booking reservations and checking product availability. It can also reschedule appointments by speaking directly with staff.
The AI navigates automated phone menus and waits on hold. Each call originates from the user’s personal phone number. Gemini identifies itself as a Google AI assistant during the interaction.
Users monitor conversations through a live transcript and may take control of the call at any moment. Google is rolling out the early preview to paid Gemini subscribers in the United States. This initial test is limited to users with Pixel 11 devices.
