The deal grants the French banking giant expanded access to Google Cloud's infrastructure and advanced AI. This includes Gemini Enterprise and Gemini models. The partnership supports BNP Paribas's move toward deploying "agentic AI."
The collaboration aims to generate significant value from AI through increased revenue and improved efficiency. Initial use cases will focus on the bank's Corporate and Institutional Banking (CIB) division. Gemini models will integrate into an internal generative AI assistant. This assistant will be available to over 65,000 employees. The bank will also develop AI agents for specific workflows, such as preparing corporate credit memos.
