Eni confirmed it won a 100% participating interest in the Sapukala exploration block in Indonesia's Kutei Basin. The award came in the first Indonesian petroleum bidding round of 2026 and covers a large, highly prospective deep-water area.

The block lies adjacent to Eni's existing assets and near the North Hub developments. Those developments hold discoveries of more than 14 trillion cubic feet of gas. They also hold 800 million barrels of condensate.

The acquisition strengthens Eni's natural gas portfolio in a key growth region.
