Australian biotechnology firm CSL has announced a collaboration with Amazon Web Services (AWS) to bring artificial intelligence and cloud technologies into its research and clinical development pipeline. The partnership aims to help scientists analyze complex data, identify potential drug targets earlier and shorten development timelines for new therapies.
The collaboration will also seek to streamline clinical development by reducing manual work in protocol authoring, clinical data handling and regulatory submissions, while maintaining data governance and traceability.
CSL plans to use AWS capabilities to bring laboratory and computational research closer together, so experimental findings can more quickly inform research models and decisions.
