Bristol Myers Squibb announced positive topline results from ACTION-1, a Phase 3 study of its radiopharmaceutical therapy RYZ101. The trial evaluated the drug in patients with gastroenteropancreatic neuroendocrine tumors (GEP-NETs) whose disease had progressed after prior treatment.
The study met its primary goal, showing a statistically significant and clinically meaningful improvement in progression-free survival with RYZ101 compared with standard of care. RYZ101 was the central asset in Bristol Myers Squibb’s recent $4.1 billion acquisition of RayzeBio. The results mark a step toward potential regulatory approval, and the company plans to discuss the findings with the FDA.
