BMW revealed the upcoming iX3 electric SUV in a filing with China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT). This model is the first vehicle built on the company's next-generation Neue Klasse architecture. The regulatory filing is a mandatory step before sales begin and indicates an approaching market launch.
The iX3 30L specifications include a 235 kW motor manufactured by BMW. The vehicle uses a lithium iron phosphate battery pack assembled by CATL.
BMW opened pre-orders for the SUV at the 2026 Chengdu Auto Show. First customer deliveries in China are scheduled to begin in November.
