Apple announced it is committing up to $100 million over three years to the Perryman Company, a Pennsylvania-based titanium producer. The investment is part of Apple's American Manufacturing Program and will secure a supply of titanium for various products, including the enclosure for its new foldable phone, the iPhone Duo.
Perryman will manufacture the titanium at its facility in Houston, Pennsylvania, using at least 80% recycled content. As part of its domestic manufacturing push, Apple also announced an expanded partnership with Delaware-based Qnity Electronics, which will produce advanced films for the new variable-aperture camera system in the iPhone 18 Pro.
