Toyota Motor and Daimler Truck plan to sell shares in their joint venture, Archion, worth between $1.24 billion and $1.87 billion. The sale involves approximately 900 million shares. This offering represents about 30% of the company.

The companies intend to fulfill listing requirements for the Tokyo Stock Exchange through this divestment. Archion is the holding company formed from the merger of Toyota’s Hino Motors and Daimler’s Mitsubishi Fuso.

The venture officially began operations in April 2026. Both Toyota and Daimler Truck currently hold stakes of approximately 41% each. They aim to reduce their respective holdings to 25% through the public offering.

Archion is currently considering capital strategy options but has made no final decision. An official announcement regarding the share sale could occur as early as next week.
