BYD, the parent company of BYD Electronic, reported September 2026 sales of 463,561 new energy vehicles, a yearly high. Sales rose 17% year over year and 5.3% from August. Record sales of fully electric passenger cars and a 154% year-over-year increase in exports supported the result.
Third-quarter sales increased 18.7% year over year. This marked BYD's first quarterly sales growth after four consecutive quarters of declines.
The recovery and strength in electric vehicles, a core market for BYD Electronic, point to a positive outlook for the company's components and services.
