BYD and partner Mega Motor Company (MMC) will begin local assembly of the SEALION 6 in Pakistan starting the fourth quarter of 2026. This move marks a strategic transition from vehicle importation to domestic manufacturing. MMC announced the plans at the Pakistan Auto Show (PAPS) 2026.
The SEALION 6 plug-in hybrid will be the first BYD model assembled locally in the country. This initiative aims to meet rising regional demand for electric and electrified vehicles. The model utilizes BYD’s Super DM-i technology, which has achieved global sales exceeding 8.5 million units.
BYD also displayed the ATTO 2 and the luxury DENZA B8 at the event.
