Huajin Aramco Petrochemical received its first Saudi crude shipment at its new Panjin complex. The joint venture includes Saudi Aramco, North Huajin, and Panjin Xincheng Industrial Group.
Saudi Aramco holds a 30% stake in the integrated refinery and petrochemicals facility. The complex is designed to process 300,000 barrels of crude oil per day. It will also produce 1.65 million tons of ethylene annually.
Commercial operations are scheduled to begin in the first quarter of 2027. Aramco will supply up to 210,000 barrels of crude per day to the site.
The project expands Aramco’s downstream capacity and liquid-to-chemicals strategy. It secures a significant long-term outlet for Saudi crude in the Chinese market.
