Samsung Electronics will break ground on a second semiconductor fabrication plant in Taylor, Texas, by the end of 2026. The company is accelerating U.S. expansion to meet rising global demand for advanced artificial intelligence chips.

The new facility, Taylor Fab 2, targets the start of mass production in 2030. Samsung expects its first Taylor manufacturing plant to begin operations this year.

The expansion increases production capacity for advanced nodes, including 2-nanometer process technology.
