Samsung Electronics and Arm have partnered to develop next-generation on-device AI System-on-Chips (SoCs). The collaboration targets advanced 2nm mass production to enhance AI computing on smartphones. This technology aims to reduce latency by shifting processing from the cloud directly to the device.

Arm will provide its AI accelerator architecture and core design technologies for the project. Samsung will manage the SoC integration, manufacturing, and commercialization. The partnership addresses the growing industry demand for localized generative AI on edge devices.

Arm shares rose approximately 2.5% in U.S. pre-market trading following the announcement.
