The U.S. International Trade Commission (ITC) launched an investigation into Samsung Electronics. California-based Netlist Inc. filed the complaint alleging patent infringement.

The probe targets advanced memory chips including high-bandwidth memory (HBM) and DDR5 products. These components are essential for servers powering the artificial intelligence sector.

The investigation covers products sold by Google, Nvidia, Broadcom, and Super Micro Computer. These technology firms utilize the disputed Samsung memory chips.

Netlist seeks an exclusion order to ban the importation of infringing products into the United States. This marks the second ITC investigation involving these parties, following a case filed in late 2025.
