OpenAI CEO Sam Altman met with approximately 50 senior executives from Samsung’s electronics, finance and biotechnology affiliates in South Korea on October 31.

They discussed how artificial intelligence could reshape corporate management and create new business opportunities over the next decade. The talks also aimed to strengthen cooperation on memory chips and AI infrastructure.

The meeting reinforced an existing partnership that includes Samsung supplying advanced memory chips for OpenAI’s Stargate infrastructure project. It comes as the technology sector faces rising AI development costs and intensifying demand for memory chips.

No new supply deal was announced. The discussions underscored Samsung’s central role in the AI supply chain.
