ExxonMobil and its partners have produced the 1 billionth barrel of oil from the Stabroek block offshore Guyana. The milestone came less than seven years after production began in December 2019, underscoring Guyana’s rapid growth as a major oil-producing region.

The development comprises four major offshore projects. Four floating production, storage, and offloading (FPSO) vessels support operations. Total production capacity has topped 900,000 barrels per day.

ExxonMobil expects a fifth project to come online by the end of 2026, with additional projects planned for subsequent years.
