ExxonMobil raised its annual liquefied natural gas (LNG) sales forecast to 50 million tons by 2030. This update increases the company's previous target of 40 million tons. Peter Clarke, senior vice president for LNG, announced the revision at the Gastech conference in Bangkok.

Asia is projected to account for 70% of global LNG demand by 2050. Ongoing Middle East tensions are currently disrupting global supply routes. These geopolitical risks have prompted importers to seek more reliable energy sources.

ExxonMobil positions LNG as a critical transition fuel for the global energy market.
