X-Energy Reactor Company, LLC has received an additional commercial order from SGL Carbon valued at approximately $90 million. The order is for NBG-18 nuclear graphite, a critical material for X-energy’s Xe-100 high-temperature gas-cooled small modular reactors (SMRs).
It is the second major order under a long-term framework agreement between the companies, strengthening their partnership. The order is intended to support the supply chain for future Xe-100 reactor projects. Production of the newly ordered graphite components is scheduled to begin at the end of 2026.
