Fathom Digital Manufacturing has acquired three Rochester, New York-based manufacturers: TCS Industries, TCS Electronics, and Precision Grinding & Manufacturing Corp. (PGM). The acquisitions expand Fathom’s capacity to produce precision components, electronics, and complex assemblies for aerospace and defense customers.
The companies add capabilities in electro-mechanical box builds, printed circuit board assemblies, and specialized finishing operations. Fathom, a portfolio company of private equity firm CORE Industrial Partners, now operates 10 manufacturing facilities nationwide. The company has approximately 700 employees.
CEO Rush LaSelle said the deal addresses an industry challenge: developing new technologies and having the manufacturing expertise and capacity to produce them reliably at scale. The acquired companies also bring established technical talent and deep customer relationships to Fathom’s platform.
