The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) issued a formal warning letter to Walmart. The letter addresses the sale of unapproved drugs claiming to treat sexually transmitted infections (STIs).
Third-party sellers offered products such as "HClear for him," "Herstat GST," and "Terragen HG Formula" on Walmart.com. Walmart Fulfillment Services handled these sales.
The FDA purchased the products from Walmart.com in July 2026. The agency states no over-the-counter drugs are approved for treating STIs. Relying on such products risks serious health complications by delaying proper medical care.
The FDA has given Walmart 15 business days. Walmart must outline its corrective actions to prevent the sale of these and similar unapproved drug products on its platform.
