Willdan Group, Inc. (NASDAQ: WLDN) signed a definitive agreement to acquire Mantis Innovation for $285 million in cash. The transaction is expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2026, subject to Hart-Scott-Rodino antitrust approval.
The acquisition strengthens Willdan's position in energy management and infrastructure. This move expands Willdan's commercial and industrial presence into sectors including data centers, healthcare, and food and beverage.
Mantis Innovation provides building controls, energy efficiency, and facility management solutions. The company is projected to generate $120 million in net revenue for 2026. Willdan expects the deal to be accretive to earnings by 2027.
