S&P Dow Jones Indices announced that Workiva Inc. (WK) will join the S&P SmallCap 600 before the market opens on October 6, 2026. It will replace Formfactor Inc., which will move to the S&P MidCap 400.
Workiva shares gapped higher in premarket trading on October 2 after the news. Index inclusion can increase demand for a company’s shares from index funds and exchange-traded funds (ETFs) that track the benchmark.
