Italian coffee maker Illycaffè signed a multi-year strategic agreement with Westrock Coffee to develop and package products for North America.
The partnership aims to double Illycaffè’s locally packaged volume in the U.S. market. This expansion focuses primarily on the ready-to-drink (RTD) category.
Illycaffè identifies the U.S. as a priority market following four years of double-digit growth.
Westrock Coffee will manage product development and packaging under the deal. Illycaffè will continue to roast all coffee exclusively at its main facility in Trieste, Italy.
The agreement supports Westrock’s strategy to provide comprehensive beverage solutions to major global brands.
