Volvo Trucks secured its largest single order for gas-powered vehicles from German firm Reinert Logistics. The agreement covers 500 Volvo FH Aero models. This follows a previous successful purchase of 50 similar units by the logistics company.
The trucks operate on liquefied natural gas (LNG) and bio-LNG. Each vehicle offers an operational range of up to 1,000 kilometers. Deliveries for the landmark order are scheduled to begin in 2027.
Volvo Trucks has delivered more than 10,000 gas-powered vehicles to date. The deal reflects rising demand for alternative fuel solutions in the heavy transport sector.
Bank of America reiterated a buy rating on AB Volvo following the news. The bank set a price target of 380 kronor for the stock.
