Vedanta Oil and Gas plans to invest approximately $200 million in fiscal year 2026-27. The investment is equivalent to ₹2,000 crore.

The spending will focus on the Mangla, Bhagyam, and Aishwariya fields in Rajasthan. Vedanta aims to offset natural production declines, improve recovery rates, and extend the fields’ productive lives.

Mangla currently produces 80,000 barrels per day (bpd). Vedanta aims to raise output to more than 150,000 bpd using enhanced oil recovery techniques, including polymer flooding and alkaline-surfactant-polymer (ASP) injection.

The plan follows a 19% year-over-year decline in Vedanta’s average daily gross operated production in the second quarter of FY27. The company attributed the decline to natural production declines at the Rajasthan block.
