Vicor Corporation is purchasing two new sites in New Hampshire to house its second and third ChiP fabrication facilities. The company is acquiring a 334,000-square-foot building in Merrimack. It is also purchasing 54 acres of land in Hooksett. These acquisitions will support a combined manufacturing footprint of nearly one million square feet.
The expansion responds to the company's Andover, Massachusetts facility approaching its maximum utilization capacity. These new facilities will provide scalability for OEMs and hyperscalers requiring Vertical Power Delivery technology. This technology is currently seeing high demand within the advanced AI sector.
Vicor anticipates a one-year lead time for the initial deployment of the second fabrication facility.
