Viavi Solutions’ T/Rx software-defined transceiver system was selected by the U.S. Army’s Threat Systems Management Office to provide electromagnetic spectrum conditions at Army test ranges recently opened to private industry. Companies can use the ranges to develop drones, counter-drone systems and other technologies, including those without existing government contracts.
The system will help create realistic electronic warfare conditions for testing, similar to those observed in global conflicts. The initiative is intended to accelerate innovation and support the development of technologies more resilient on the modern battlefield.
