Block & Leviton has launched an investigation into Energy Fuels Inc. over potential securities law violations. The probe examines whether the company misled investors about its pending $1.9 billion acquisition of magnet maker VAC.
The investigation follows Energy Fuels’ October 13, 2026, disclosure of a pre-existing contract dispute involving a key customer of VAC’s Sumter plant. According to the law firm, Energy Fuels knew about the dispute while negotiating the acquisition. The dispute had been ongoing since April 2026 and had entered arbitration by July.
After the disclosure, Energy Fuels’ stock fell nearly 9% to a new 52-week low. The investigation may lead to a class-action lawsuit seeking to recover investor losses.
