United Airlines Holdings Inc. announced Friday a status-match program for elite frequent flyers from Delta Air Lines and American Airlines. Eligible travelers will receive comparable United status for 90 days.
To keep the matched status through January 2028, customers must meet flight and spending requirements during the initial 90-day period. Maintaining the top-tier 1K status, for example, requires spending $7,000 on United flights.
The program aims to attract a larger share of the lucrative premium-traveler market, whose customers contribute significantly to airline revenue.
